The Real Struggles MBA Students Face While Completing Their Projects

When I first started my MBA project, I thought it would be simple. Pick a topic, do some researching, write it down and submit. Easy. I imagined that I could finish it in a couple of weeks. A couple of late nights before the date. The reality hit me fast. The project isn't merely the creation of a report. It tests your plan, resilience and ability with unexpected problems. A majority of my classmates struggled in some way.

Many students think that they can handle the assignment as normal papers or studies. But after a couple of weeks, they realize deadlines are nearer than they expected or that the data isn't complete, chapters are not connected, and motivation drops. If you go through the entire project thoroughly, you'll find some gaps. Imagine yourself as an examiner. You'll catch errors you would have missed.

Procrastination Destroys Quality

Delaying work is a big issue. The thought was that I could finish data analysis and writing in a couple hours. That did not work. Each delay affected the quality.

Start early. Even one paragraph or section per day adds up. The project is now easier to manage instead of overwhelming.

What I Learned

The MBA project is not hard because of the complexity. It's difficult because students fail to plan, aren't clear and direction. Mistakes are normal. It is important to be able to recognize how to avoid them and move forward.

There will be data that isn't there or supervisors won't respond delays, and hurdles will come up. The difference is in how you manage these challenges.
